Having brought cutting edge visual art, music, dance, drama and every kind of performance imaginable to the Hartford area, Real Art Ways is a well respected nurturer of the avant-garde. Their artistic attention is no less evident in the choice of films. Real Art Ways (R.A.W.), exercises fearless artistic license by showcasing stimulating and often controversial movies.

Real Art Ways Cinema has very comfortable seating and offers an excellent cappuccino bar, as well as traditional popcorn and candy fare. RAW also showcases live performances and hosts weekly literary and artistic gatherings. There is usually an art exhibit in the gallery which is housed in the same building as the theater. Admission to the gallery is free, although an optional donation is appreciated.

Real Art Ways hosts a weekly evening gathering that has become an indispensable part of Hartford's social scene. All are welcome.
