Life of Pi is based on a fantasy adventure novel by Yann Martel. The film is a parable of the struggle of a sixteen year old boy with his adversary, a fully grown Bengal Tiger to co-exist on the confines of a small boat lost at sea for two hundred and twenty seven days.
