A German-Jew beckons his wife and young daughter to join him on a farm in Kenya as the Nazi’s take control in late 1930’s Berlin. The war years compel introspection for the couple that nearly destroys their marriage, while their daughter adapts to the culture with a child’s perfect innocence.
