Bonus Bogies

This photo portrays a climatic moment from the 1941 version of The Maltese Falcon.
The gentleman standing in the foreground is Samuel Spade (Humphrey Bogart). The rotund chap, is the larcenous and loquacious, Kasper Guttman. (Sidney Greenstreet). It's impossible to miss the very dangerous Bridgid O'Shaughnessy (Mary Astor) nor the astute, if somewhat slimy, Joel Cairo (Peter Lorre). Also in the room, but not pictured here, is Wilmer, AKA 'The Kid', 'The Gunsil', 'Old Wild West' etc. Wilmer Cook (Elisha Cook Jr.), is a psychotic killer and the World's consummate fall guy.

The Scene
It's early Sunday morning and they are discussing the fate of the black bird while hatching treacherous plots against one other.
This veritable den of thieves is our temple of black drama.
