THE KINGS SPEECH

This is a story of King George VI of Britain, his unanticipated ascension to the throne and the unorthodox speech therapist who helped him pull it all off.

Colin's jaw is always slightly frozen, his struggle quietly palpable as he delivers a subtle performance that leaves me to wonder if there are any living actors to match him.
Geoffrey Rush as his 'Boswell' was equal to his task. The film is notable in that it is a British film that does not have Judi Dench in it.

Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, Sir Derek Jacobi, Robert Portal, Richard Dixon, Paul Trussell; Director, Tom Hooper
