This film is a study of the power of absolute certainty. Each of the four main character's support the film like iron tent poles, even though their screen time is uneven. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a match for the magnificent Meryl Streep, Amy Adams is superb as a pure, loving entity with a delightful show of pluckiness and Viola Davis steals the show.

This is a adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's play, Doubt: A Parable. My wife saw the play and felt that the film was a powerful and successful interpretation, Mr. Shanley also wrote the screen play and directed the film, which no DOUBT, made this such a wonderful film.
