CRAZY HEART

Bad Blake is curiously not bad at all, just a once great/still great Country Western singer trying to survive each day through a haze of alcohol. This role is a tour de force for Jeff Bridges with strong acting from Maggie, Colin.
I suspect that the 'American-ness' of this good film may have demanded the superfluous, don't leave anything up in the air ending.
I couldn't help making a comparison to a better,(I think), earlier film which covered similar ground, called Tender Mercies.
