CINEMA CITY AT THE PALACE
- formally Cinema City at Brainard Road -
- also formally called Bow Tie Cinema -

Cinema City's former glory is hanging by a thread. Since being acquired by Bow Tie Cinema Corporation several years ago and most recently becoming Cinema City At The Palace, the fortunes of my old dear friend have been percariously preserved. The former five screen theater has been tucked inside a corner space of a forty screen 'mega-plex' in Hartford.

For now, Cinema City At The Palace is keeping its promise and showing the familiar line of wonderful foreign and domestic files we have been accustomed to seeing. We are hoping that they keep their sacred trust and preserve the integrity of film selections that its loyal patronage have enjoyed for four score years.

My earliest memory of this theater, (when on (Brainard Road), is in 1974 when Fellini's, Amacord made its Hartford debut. I continue to love Cinema City above the others, even in its latest iteration.

Two typical examples of film offerings -
