Cinestudio is a plush theater located on the campus of Trinity College. The theater offers a film-series type format often covering a four week period. You may register to be on a mailing list that includes show times and detail descriptions of the films.
Each film is shown over a period of three or four days usually allowing for evening and matinee viewing. The theater often presents a themed format such as its annual Gay / Lesbian, Jewish and Short Film Festivals. A typical series will include American and foreign classics, current popular, independent and new foreign fare. The venue is also inclined to show recently screened movies showed at local theaters. This provides a handy way to catch something you missed or share a movie with friends.
A favorite aspect of this theater is the red-brocade scalloped curtain which heralds each screening with its perfectly timed ascent. This fabulous curtain provides a seductive touch to any viewing experience that is well appreciated by the Cinestudio faithful. It should be noted that eating or drinking is not allowed in the theater.
A nice aspect of this theater is that you are invited to add to the film request sheet that is always in plain sight in the lobby.
