We are allowed to accompany a small group of scientists and filmmakers as they reverently traverse the prehistoric Chauvet Cave in southern France. Hundreds of depictions of lions, mammoths, rhinos, horses, hand prints and more are eerily illuminated as our hosts descend into the sacred cave. You experience an art show that was prepared thirty thousand years ago. There are also liberal doses of academic commentary and near vaudeville performances in this exquisite film.
