Bill Cunningham, New York
American 2010

This endearing documentary follows octogenarian, Bill Cunningham as he tools around Manhattan streets on his Schwinn fervently snapping pictures of the private moments of scurrying pedestrians. His currency is street fashion, highbrow and low. His theater is The New York Times.

Bill explains his passion with expressions like; "I eat with my eye's", as he refuses nourishment while "shooting" at a reception given in his honor.

This is a wonderful accounting of an endearing artist.

Bill Cunningham, Anna Wyntour, The Dandy, and endless assorted street fashioners; Directed by Richard Press.
