As the beautifully rendered Chopin certainly kept our pianist sane, it saved this viewer from some of the pain of witnessing the methodical savagery the German's wreaked upon the Jew’s in Warsaw. It was apparent that Mr. Polanski's experiences gave him enormous power to offer such a great number of unexpected and compelling characters.
Adrien Brody as the Pianist was magnificent, as was the film.
