Perry Mason's Women

Perry Mason's television series debut on September 21, 1957 shot a prophetic serum under my skin. For nine years the potency of the jab coursed through my veins and cooed to my psyche. I was smitten with masculine resonant voices with devious intent and sly promises from sultry women in form fitting dresses. I fell freshly in love from the first Saturday night. I was 10 years old.

I will devote this web page as my homage to Perry's femme fatales, as their faint trail of satiny voices murmuring mild prurient promises still has the jack to make me smile. After more than fifty years, the charm of these women is yet glued to my appendix. If that were not enticing enough, know that this web piece gives license for my shameless use of the alliterative form, the incorrigible appetite for which was surely honed from the series. Every image presented here is connected by voice and face to my mind's ancient vault.

If you are of a certain age you may remember the show and recognize an innocent obsession from your past? I wish that everyone who remembers any episode may find a friendly ghost among this gallery.
