THE MARCH OF THE PENGUINS
French (2005)
Documentary - English
language narration
A
beautifully filmed account of the Emperor Penguin’s struggle for love and life
in the near unfathomable harshness of the South Pole. A parents grandiose
account of self sacrifice would be dwarfed by the Emperor’s struggle for their
progeny.
The Penguins are so beguiling that you nearly forget to salute the remarkable
production crew for their 13 months of volunteer intimacy with -70 degree
temperatures, 150+ M.P.H. winds, constant whiteouts and thousands of large
birds.
Cameramen - Jerome Maison and Laurent Chalet; narrated by Morgan Freeman:
Produced by Luc Jacquet
